30th May 2026
It starts with a seed.
Let’s plant the future together.
A Free Festival Celebrating Community, Creativity & Climate Action
Green Hustle is back — and this year we're spreading across the city. On Saturday 30th May, join thousands of people across three locations in Nottingham city centre for a free day of creativity, community and climate action.
Sow good!
We're sowing creativity, care, resilience, joy, solutions - a million mini revolutions. Think "oh wow!" moments, composting compassion, spring optimism, a solarpunk playground of human-nature connectedness. If a seed is a start, a festival is a whole packet of potential.

Accessiblity

Attending the festival

Our festival is free so you won't need a ticket or a wristband, there are no barriers or check-ins on the way in, just turn up and get involved.

Location and site access

Green Hustle Festival is designed with accessibility in mind. The whole event takes place in a small, flat area in Nottingham's Old Market Square and plenty of space will be given to make sure it's easy to get around.

Phasellus vestibulum justo laoreet odio vehicula porttitor. Quisque nec volutpat mauris. Donec eu magna nec diam consequat auctor. Cras mollis congue libero, non eleifend sapien faucibus eget. Pellentesque habitant morbi tristique senectus et netus et malesuada fames ac turpis egestas

Support

If you need any support, ask one of our volunteers for help - they can help you find a calm activity, or offer earplugs if the noise is getting too much. Volunteers will be easily identifiable high-vis vests and branded T-shirts.

“Green Hustle is a much-needed opportunity to get together, regardless of age, where you’re from, or your interests. Times might still be hard for many, but we’re determined to put everyone in the driving seat in making a difference and helping our community thrive.” – Adam Pickering, Festival Co-Director

Beyond the festival

Green Hustle isn’t just a one-day event—it leaves a lasting impact:

Permanent green spaces

We’ve helped transform Old Market Square’s planters and beds into thriving, community-led green spaces.

School garden donations

The University of Nottingham’s pop-up garden found a permanent home at Welbeck Primary School, inspiring kids to learn about growing food.

Volunteering & Partnerships

More than 100 partners, community groups, and organizations collaborate to make Green Hustle happen, with hundreds of volunteer hours given each year.
